The Dixie Ticklers are transforming and revisiting classic New Orleans music.

Led by clarinettist and composer Dom James, The Dixie Ticklers combine their deep love and understanding of early jazz with a truly modern aesthetic and musical vision. This hard working band has built a fierce live reputation within jazz, blues and the acoustic scene. The core players include drummer Daoud Merchant AKA Washboard Merch (John Law, Empirical), percussionist Zands (Karl Jenkins) trumpeter Will Rixon (Joss Stone), bassist Tommy Antonio and guitarist Nicholas Costley-White (Gareth Lockrane, Martin Speake).

'Intelligent yet playful sextet… they're sure to win converts.' Clive Davis, The Sunday Times

'Lively and life-affirming, intelligent but without pretension. It's also a whole lot of fun, of which there is far too little on today's jazz scene.' Chris Mosey, AllAboutJazz.com

'Their music combines a love of traditional Dixieland jazz styles with the sophistication of modern musical ideas whilst retaining the essential joie de vivre of New Orleans music.' Ian Mann - thejazzmann.com

The Dixie Ticklers will also be playing a Late Set at 00.30. Cover will be charged at £4 for guests staying on or £5 on the door.
