Graham Hughes is a leading trombone player in the UK on the swing, vintage and New Orleans jazz scenes. He also has a characterful voice and plays chromatic harmonica.
He appears each month at Nightjar as part of The Lapazoos. He also runs The Sunshine Kings - a leading six piece traditional jazz style band, and The Brass Volcanoes - a popular New Orleans style brass band with regular appearances at Ronnie Scott's jazz club in London.
He regularly appears as a guest at leading jazz festivals in the UK, playing alongside award winning musicians Enrico Tomasso, Alan Barnes, Keith Nichols and many others. He also tours Europe playing for swing dance festivals, and is a key member of many bands: The Tuxedo Jazz Orchestra, the Westside Syncopators, Martin Litton's Red Hot Syncopators, Ben Somers' Brass Hysteria, The Cosimo Matassa Project, The Hertford Street Jazz Band to name a few.
